I’m a painter and illustrator whose work has been shaped by place, community, and a strong foundation in fine art. I began my career as a professional artist in 2011 when I moved to Nantucket full time. I lived and worked on the island through 2022, building both my art career and a private teaching business. Much of my work during that time was influenced by Nantucket’s architecture, landscape, and history — themes that continue to inform what I create today. Although I now live full time in Princeton, New Jersey, I travel back to Nantucket frequently for projects, including my ongoing partnerships with Nantucket by Design and Erica Wilson. My background in fine art began early. I trained for more than ten years under artist and teacher Barbara Herzberg, whose mentorship played a significant role in my development. I went on to earn my Bachelor’s degree in Studio Art from Wheaton College in Massachusetts. I started by exhibiting my work in Nantucket galleries and opened my own gallery in 2013. While building my fine art career, I developed a strong interest in watercolor and began collaborating with local businesses on hand-painted designs and products. That work naturally grew into larger collaborations and murals.
